SABBATH

What is mightier than the sword?

The word sabbath comes from a Hebrew word meaning to rest; to cease.Although most persons do not observe a weekly sabbath day we all need to rest or cease from our routine day to day activities at some point.  That period of rest may vary in length from hours to days. Hence we can safely say we all carry out a “sabbath “.

In a biblical sense , Christians are not obligated to observe a weekly sabbath  as they are under “The law of the Christ” which does not include the command to observe a weekly sabbath.

In a more literal sense though we all need a sabbath or a break from our routine.
